A beautiful Victorian Walnut Cylindrical Pot Cupboard. Made from walnut, with a circular top that has a deep molded rim and veined white marble inset, a cylindrical body with a hidden door and a turned door knob that opens to removable shelved interior, all on a molded plinth. C1860

These early bedside cabinets were known as pot cupboards because they were used to hold a chamber pot next to the bed before the advent of indoor plumbing. They comprised a simple cupboard sometimes with a drawer above and would also have been doubled up as the repository of the night time candle.
This cupboard is in excellent condition and ready for use and has been treated for worm. Would make a lovely drinks cupboard or bedside table.

Their white-glove delivery includes bringing all items into your room of choice, unpacking, and removing packing material. Delivery may incur an additional fee for more than one flight of stairs, heavy items and the removal or moving of your own furniture.

The delivery crew will call you when they are on their way, approximately 1/2 hour prior to arriving.

Customer Self Pick-Up

If you choose to pick-up your purchase, please be sure to bring enough manpower to move your items into your vehicle. Remember to bring sufficient blankets/bubble wrap/rope if necessary. Patina is not responsible for any damage incurred with your move. We request that all purchases be picked up within 1 week from date of purchase.
