Vegetable Died Serapi Rug/Runner
Serapi carpet or Serapi rug is woven in Heriz village in East Azerbaijan Province, located in northwest of Iran. These rugs are employed symmetrical knots with cotton foundation and a wool pile. The designs of these rugs are Medallion and Geometric, and the colors are Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Ivory, Pink.
Both Heriz and Serapi rugs can be readily identified by their rectilinear designs and highly stylized geometric detailing that often features a pure blue or blue and ivory large medallion on a field of deep red or terracotta.
Line count is the number of knots or stitches per square inch. As the number goes up, so does the quality. Rugs with 200 to 400 knots per square inch are often good-quality rugs, though you can find rugs with over 6,000 knots per square inch. These are typically handmade, expensive and have a very detailed pattern.
If you look closely at the green color in a vegetable-dyed rug, you will commonly see that the color is uneven, more blue-green in some areas, and more yellow-green in others.This item is available for in-store pick up. The delivery crew will call you when they are on their way, approximately 1/2 hour prior to arriving.

Customer Self Pick-Up
If you choose to pick-up your purchase, please be sure to bring enough manpower to move your items into your vehicle. Remember to bring sufficient blankets/bubble wrap/rope if necessary. Patina is not responsible for any damage incurred with your move. We request that all purchases be picked up within 1 week from date of purchase.
